Jim Chapman Construction Group (JCCG), a leading build-to-rent (BTR) general contractor (GC), has secured a GC agreement with a regional commercial developer for a new 365-home Richmond Hill BTR community. Located on 48 acres in Heartwood at Richmond Hill, a master-planned community, this project is a perfect example of JCCG’s proven track record as a successful Southeast BTR general contractor.
“We are super excited about the opportunity to bring this exceptional 365-home Build-to-Rent community to life in Richmond Hill, Georgia,” said Jim Chapman, President of Jim Chapman Construction Group. “We appreciate our client for trusting JCCG to execute their vision and deliver on their BTR development goals.”
JCCG executed the GC contract in early January and has a notice to proceed to start in February. The BTR project will be developed and built in two phases. Once the site is graded, JCCG will begin Phase One wet utilities, curb, gutter and roads in preparation for the first phase of vertical construction.
Phase One of vertical construction is expected to begin in August 2025 and will include 213 lots. This phase will immediately be followed by the start of Phase Two, utilities and homes, this fall.
The Richmond Hill BTR community will include ranch and two-story plans. This will consist of a mix of attached and detached homes.
“We have had enormous success with our previous Savannah area communities, The Cottages at New Hampstead and Arbor View Townhomes and can’t wait to bring another first-class option to today’s renters, with spacious floorplans and exclusive amenities,” said Chapman.
Richmond Hill is a quaint, coastal town just south of metro Savannah. With vibrant Southern charm and dozens of outdoor recreation opportunities, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
