JIM CHAPMAN, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER and CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD
Jim Chapman is the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Jim Chapman Construction Group (JCCG), a Build-to-Rent (BTR) general contractor. An Atlanta native and graduate of The Westminster Schools, he is a home building veteran who started his own custom home building firm, Jim Chapman Fine Homes, in 1998 after earning an MBA from Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill in 1996.
From 1998 through 2005, his firm primarily built custom homes in Buckhead and Alpharetta, GA and Highlands, NC. In 2005, he began to build and develop an active adult portfolio under the Jim Chapman Communities brand, which became synonymous with high-quality, maintenance-free, age-restricted communities throughout metropolitan Atlanta. The private, often gated, communities offered a variety of architectural styles and were located in prime areas of the North Atlanta metropolitan area.
After years of building active adult communities and seeing how vital the lock-and-leave lifestyle was, he was inspired to develop BTR housing for affluent professionals and active adults seeking maintenance free living. Jim founded Jim Chapman Construction Group (JCCG) in 2017 and is now licensed as a general contractor in six Southeastern states and Indiana. He has developed over 4,900 lots, built 18 amenities complexes and built over 3,800 homes in his career.
